If Brendan Rodgers can't stop Liverpool's dramatic decline this season the calls to replace him will continue to grow louder as fans look back in envy at the team of last season who came so close to winning the Premier League.
With Liverpool looking like an entirely different team now, fans have pinpointed Rodgers' decisions in the summer - and not least how he chose to spend a bumper transfer kitty and replace Luis Suarez - which were the first indication of his ability as a manager, and not just a coach. Sadly for the former Swansea man, he wasted £100m, and a top four qualification looks a long way away.
But what are the alternatives? Would replacing Rodgers with another manager who won't get the best out of a hastily and poorly assembled squad be the right move? And where could the Anfield side possibly find someone capable of bringing back more Champions League football and a genuine challenge at the top of the Premier League? Luckily for the fans who want to remove the manager, there are options for now and for in the longer term...
10. Frank De Boer
De Boer's stock continues to rise and a move to a big job in Europe seems immanent.

Despite the Eredivisie's lowly standing in the European game, de Boer has still managed to make waves in the Champions League with unfancied Ajax.
