Nicky Butt had won the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Premier League before he signed for Newcastle United in 2004. The midfielder was part of the golden Alex Ferguson generation and he played 270 games for the Red Devils. Butt played 134 games for the Magpies and was unfortunately part of the side that was relegated in 2008-09. He stayed to help Newcastle regain their place in the Premier League but you can't help but think his career was tainted in the black and white and a loan spell at Birmingham in 2005 followed by a trip to South China didn't really help...
