MGM Grand Garden Arena. Las Vegas, Nevada. November 15, 2008Attendance: 14,272 Gate: $4,815,675 Prior to UFC 91, Brock Lesnar had had but two fights in the UFC and had gone 1-1. The fact that he was given the title shot in this short space of time and despite having already suffered a loss is indicative of just how big of a PPV-draw the UFC knew the WWE wrestler would be. By transitioning from pro-wrestling, Lesnar brought with him a horde of WWE fans who wanted to see how Brock would fair when throwing down in a real fight. At 44-years old, Couture became the oldest champion to attempt to defend his title in the UFC as he tried to prevent the much younger Lesnar from taking his belt. As well as being far younger, Lesnar had a significant size and weight advantage and this was apparent as he score a TKO over the hall of famer in the second round. Couture's willingness to fight someone like Lesnar despite being middle-aged is a testament to how tough the legendary former champ is.
