Cain Velasquez may have look vastly oversized and less muscular than Lesnar, but anyone who had watched the heavyweight's run through the UFC knew how much of a challenge he presented to the heavyweight champion. Of the six fights Velasquez had fought in for the promotion, he had won five by KO/TKO; Velasquez used his incredible conditioning and ridiculous tempo for a heavyweight to dominate from the opening bell. Velasquez proved that all the hype is justified; he is still the UFCs heavyweight champion to this day (though he would lose it to JDS before recapturing the belt in the rematch). In the one round he fought with Lesnar, the ex-champion came out strong using his size advantage to out-muscle Velasquez. However, Cain eventually rocked Lesnar with strikes literally sending him spinning around the Octagon before eventually forcing the referee to step in.
