Since Yossi Benayoun left Liverpool in 2010, he has played for both Chelsea and Arsenal, and won the Europa League - on the outlook, he hasnt done so badly. When analysing his performances at those clubs, however, the Israeli playmaker was a pale imitation of the inventive, goalscoring nuisance at Anfield. After 29 goals in 134 games at Liverpool, Benayoun finally left Liverpool to get away from Rafael Benitez - a man who had destroyed his confidence. Little did he know that the Spaniard would follow him to Stamford Bridge within two and a half years. While at Chelsea, Benayoun contributed very little, playing an overall total of 24 games in all competitions for the club during his three-year contract, and scoring just once. His loan deal at Arsenal during the 11/12 season saw him feature in 25 games in all competitions, scoring six goals, but his performances were tepid, inconsistent and altogether not of the required standard for a Champions League and title contender. Six appearances were trotted out for West Ham in a loan deal during the 12/13 season before a pulled ligament put an end to that, and following his release from Chelsea at the end of the season, he signed for Championship side QPR. After lasting just a season under Harry Redknapps tutelage, the 34 year old is back in his home country, plying his trade for former side Maccabi Haifa.
