10 Players You’ve Never Heard Of Who Could Star At World Cup 2018

5. Hakim Ziyech (Morocco)

Morocco aren't expected to get further than the group stage after finding themselves drawn alongside Spain and Portugal, but the players will be doing their best to cause an upset, and one man they will be looking at to make the difference is 25-year-old Hakim Ziyech.

Born in the Netherlands, Ziyech played for the nation's youth sides and even got a callup to the senior squad before deciding to switch his allegiance to Morocco. He's since gone on to make 17 appearances and score 8 goals for his country, which isn't bad at all for a midfielder. A very technical, hard-working, creative player with a lot of offensive and defensive skills, Ziyech is an expert at picking out passes, as well as being a great free kick taker.

At club level, he plays for Ajax and just enjoyed a fantastic season in which he scored 9 league goals and racked up 15 assists as well. If Morocco are to have any hope of getting to the knockout rounds, Ziyech will need to step up.
