10 Relegated Players Who Deserve To Play In Premier League Next Season

6. Badou Ndiaye (Stoke)

Poor Badou Ndiaye only got to play 13 Premier League games before suffering relegation and finding himself faced with the prospect of spending the next year of his career in the Championship. At 27, the Senegalese won't want to be wasting time in the second division and could yet force a move back to the top flight.

Ndiaye joined Stoke in the January transfer window and went on to impress as he battled valiantly but vainly to help the team avoid relegation. In just 13 games, he scored twice and showed more than enough to suggest he could become a genuinely impressive player at the top level, putting in particularly impressive performances against Burnley and Liverpool.

A player of his quality shouldn't really be down in the Championship, and reports have suggested that the Senegalese international, who turned out for his country once at the World Cup, is seeking a return to his former club, Galatasaray. He may very well get the transfer he desires, but it would be a shame for his English expedition to end so quickly, and Premier League clubs would be wise to consider giving the defensive midfielder another chance in the top division.
