8. Fined In 1987 For Punching A Team-Mate

Having re-signed for first club Auxerre in 1986 and having won his first full international cap in 1987, all was looking good for the young Eric Cantona. But 1987 was also where Cantona€™s ugly side first reared its head on any sort of large platform. It was during €™87 that Cantona got himself in trouble for punching team-mate Bruno Martini square in the face. Martini, the new French national team goalkeeper, was left with a black eye after the event. As far as Cantona was concerned, he was given a fine for his actions.
