7. He Was Spat At By His Own Fans During Marseille's Match Against Caen

Thauvin was verbally abused and spat on after Marseille€™s home defeat to Caen during their first Ligue 1 fixture.

The French side were beaten 1-0, a defeat which led to L€™OM manager Marcelo Bielsa resigning from the club minutes after the final whistle.

The madness continued after the final whistle as reports claimed that as Thauvin left the ground he got out of his car after being spat on and had a physical scuffle with one of the perpetrators before getting back into his vehicle.

Let's hope his performances in a black and white shirt don't lead to similar scenes at St James' Park.
