10 UFC Fights We Want For Anthony "Showtime" Pettis

By Jay Anderson /

7. Benson Henderson

Yes, yes, I know - Anthony Pettis has beat Bendo twice, once in the WEC, to take Henderson's WEC lightweight championship, and once in the UFC, to take Henderson's UFC lightweight championship. See a pattern here? The thing is, Benson Henderson just doesn't lose to anyone not named Anthony Pettis, and even at 0-2 in their series, a third fight would probably draw enough interest to justify booking it. Henderson, for his part, has done his job, and done it well, winning his way back into the title picture. Since losing his strap to Pettis in August of 2013 at UFC 164, Henderson has defeated both Josh Thompson and Rustam Khabilov, earning a submission stoppage in the Khabilov fight. Next up for Bendo is Rafael dos Anjos, and should he be victorious there, and especially should he win via submission or knockout, it will be hard to deny that he's deserving of another shot at the only man to beat him in the UFC/WEC.
