For the third match in succession Newcastle face a side in a similar position to them - in that the head coach has barely been at the helm for a month. Interestingly, Sacramento Republic's new head coach is an Englishman, Paul Buckle - who was born in Welwyn Garden City. A former midfielder in the lower leagues, Buckle played for the likes of Brentford, Wycombe Wanderers, Exeter City and Colchester United during an 18-year playing career spanning three decades. However, after retiring, Buckle went into management and the 44-year-old has coached Torquay United, Bristol Rovers, Luton Town and, most recently, Cheltenham Town. He took over as Sacramento boss on July 8th, and he has a respectable career management win ratio of 43.75%.
