4. Fernando Navarro - Deportivo La Coruña

After seven years of tremendous service to Sevilla, Fernando Navarro recently opted for one final challenge in a career that began before the millennium. Now at 33 years of age, the left back's willingness to leave the Europa League champions and enter what will likely be a slog of a season at Deportivo La Coruña, is rather admirable. It speaks a lot to the character of player that the Galicians have recruited.

At his farewell presentation last month, Navarro choked back tears in front of the Seville media as he departed a club legend. Not satisfied yet however, the Barcelona youth product still feels like he's got a lot to offer at the top level, while few deny him of that right. Even in the twilight years of his career, signs of a decline in his ability were almost non-existent for Sevilla last season.

For a club who avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth in 2014/15, as well as one in a transitional phase under young coach Víctor Sánchez, the arrival of Navarro on a free transfer is simply a terrific piece of business.
