2. Daniel Sturridge - Great Britain Vs South Korea (Penalty Shootout)
Following Aaron Ramsay's earlier penalty miss in regulation time, the Great Britain Men's Olympic Team were forced into a penalty shootout against South Korea after the tie had finished 1-1. Having seen England earlier fail on penalties against Italy at Euro 2012, this was a chance to put things right. Surely we wouldn't go out on penalties, in the quarter final, for the second time in as many months, would we..? Oh, we would. GBR managed to score four of the five penalties taken until Danny Sturridge stepped up. He ran up to the ball with purpose, but inexplicably stopped his run before shooting down the middle for keeper Lee Bumyoung to parry away and put an end to our dream of winning Gold at the Men's football.
