Its clear that Tan had no idea on the managerial qualities that Mackay had as a football manager, but that is understandable to some extent due to his limited knowledge of the game. However, as a smart businessman I would have felt that he should have read Mackay better. Simply put, the Scot was fiercely loyal even under the conditions that he was put under. I think it was surprising to many people that he stayed calm and didnt resign. This might have given Tan a false sense of security over how he can treat a manager. The fact of the matter is he may not be so lucky with Solskjaer as if Tans tricks resurface or a bigger club comes in for the Norwegian; he may have sense of loyalty to Cardiff. Its certainly going to be very interesting to see how all of this plays out. As much as I like the Norwegian, I cant help but think that all this is going to blow up for them this season and relegation could well be on the cards.
