Have you all calmed down yet? Have you all learned how to pronounce Georginio Wijnaldum's name? Well, guess what? There's more. Newcastle United are hoping to add some strike-power to their ranks in the form of Anderlecht forward Aleksandar Mitrovic and have spoken about a five-year-deal, according to reports in Belgium. The Belgian Pro-League side are holding out for ‚18 million in order to let their prized striker, who scored 28 goals in 51 games last season, leave the club. The Magpies who announced their first signing of the transfer window this morning are reportedly happy to pay Anderlecht's asking price and hope to bring the player to Tyneside before they leave for their USA pre-season tour. Newcastle have been also linked with QPR striker Charlie Austin this summer but no official bid was made with the club making it clear they would not pay more than £12 million for the frontman's services. The Austin rumours provided a romantic warmth to a desperate fanbase who craved to see a 'typical English number nine' score goals at St James' park again. But the 26-year-old who scored 18 Premier League goals last season isn't Alan Shearer and perhaps the detrimental John Carver era has warped fans' opinion on Austin's worth. Here at WhatCultureSport we believe that the Serbian is a better deal for Newcastle United and has more to offer than QPR's number nine. Let us tell you why...
