3. 12 - Combined Number Of Matches Newcastle Players Have Been Suspended For During Losing Streak
First of all Papiss Cissé retaliated to Manchester United defender Jonny Evans' alleged spit by returning hockle in kind and getting himself a retrospective seven-match ban, then Fabricio Coloccini let the red mist descend and got himself sent off with a lunge at Everton's Aaron Lennon before Moussa Sissoko collected two stupid yellow cards - the second of which could easily have been a straight red - against Liverpool. In all, these suspensions have totalled 12 matches combined - meaning Newcastle United have been without three key players for the majority of the losing streak.
