With Daryl Janmaat having taken a hefty blow to the head against Swansea City, Carver may need a replacement right-back - and, rather than turn to either Vurnon Anita or Ryan Taylor, Sterry could fit the bill. At 19 years of age he will be raw and inexperienced - but the naivety of youth may benefit a first team who face the very-real prospect of relegation.
