Manchester have bought well this summer and are finally starting to look like a team that could compete for the Premier League and Champions League honours. The signings of Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmain and Bastian Schweinsteiger have given Louis van Gaal a large wedge of paper to stick under his wobbly table but they haven't bought him a brand new one. Angel Di Maria is a key part of that rebuilding process and if he were to leave then it wouldn't take long before the table became unbalanced again (this time on the attacking side). If the Red Devils have ambitions of winning the Champions League then buying Schneiderlin and selling Di Maria seems poor judgement.
