A total of 55 yellow and three reds may only place Newcastle a semi-respectable ninth on the disciplinary table for the season - but suspensions are quickly killing their season. Cisse alone will have been absent for 10 due to ill-discipline by the end of the season, while Colback has missed three games. John Carver simply cannot allow any of the rest of his squad to get themselves needlessly suspended between now and the end of the season because his resources are already threadbare as it is.
