It was labelled as the night that Arsenals senior players finally came of age. It had proven to be a stuttering season for the Gunners; indeed they would only secure qualification to the next years Champions League on the final day of the season. Madrids galaxies of stars were once again on display, with players such as Zidane, Beckham and Ronaldo lining up against the North London side. However, Arsenal proved to be more than a match for their opponents. Kolo Toure and Philippe Senderos were magnificent in defence, while a stunning solo goal from Thierry Henry was enough to give Arsenal the victory.
