The greatest ever player in the history of Arsenal football club was bought by Arsene Wenger, when the French striker was relatively unknown and was still a winger. Wenger converted him into the deadly striker that we all remember, which resulted in him becoming the top scorer in the history of the club- overtaking Ian Wright. His eight years at the club came with FA Cup and Premier League titles, Champions League memories and he scored a hat-trick in the last ever game at Highbury- before transferring his goalscoring prowess down the road to the Emirates. When he left for Barcelona, Arsenal fans knew they were unlikely to ever see a player of his ability and important at the football club ever again. However, in 2012 he returned to North London and marked his second debut with the game winning goal in the FA Cup against Leeds United- one of the greatest Arsenal memories of recent years. Arsenal want him to return to the club in some form in the future, which is a very high possibility. Arsenal's striking troubles since the departure of Henry have been well documented as they've failed to find a player that can be as prolific and reliable as Thierry Henry once was. All of these great memories, trophies that he helped win and everything else all comes down to Arsene Wenger- who identified him as a target, worked hard to get his signature and modified him into one of the best players to ever grace English football.
