Arsenal Transfers: 10 Strikers Arsene Wenger Must Target This Summer

By Joseph Dempsey /

8. Fernando Llorente

Perhaps a slightly more realistic transfer target for Arsenal this summer is Juventus hitman Fernando Llorente, who looks set to be deemed surplus to requirements in Italy. According to reports, Juve are lining up a move for ex-Chelsea forward Didier Drogba and want the 36-year-old veteran to form a strike partnership with Carlos Tevez from next season. And that move looks set to push Llorente out of the picture at Juventus Stadium, who will be offloaded by the Serie A giants after just 12 months having moves from Athletic Bilbao last summer. The 29-year-old, who scored 15 league goals last season, will be made available for "a cut-price fee" this summer, which is sure to delight Arsene Wenger, who does so love a bargain. If Llorente is available this summer, and for a reduced price, he could be near the top of Wenger's wishlist when it comes to striking options.
