Arsenal Transfers: 6 Players Arsene Wenger Needs To Sell This Summer

5. Marouane Chamakh

Another striker who hasn't made the grade at Arsenal, Marouane Chamakh hasn't fit into the Arsenal philosophy of football. A player who's a threat in the area but with a shocking first touch with his feet in a team that like to pass the ball along the floor. Marouane Chamakh helped fire Bordeaux to their first Ligue 1 trophy in a decade back in 2008-09 and then becoming the first player to score in six consecutive Champions League matches (only since been matched by both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo). At Arsenal he has scored 8 goals in 40 Premier League matches and 3 in 11 in the Champions League. Arsenal have better options currently, hence why they were able to send him out to West Ham last season. But to make sure they finish top 4 next season with a number of top clubs in the Premier League, selling Chamakh and freeing up both wages and a spot on the roster would be a good move for Arsenal. From the limited action of Joel Campbell I've seen, the Costa Rican already looks like an upgrade.
