Roma are the latest club to be linked with a move for Leicester's Riyad Mahrez, but with the Foxes reportedly asking for a fee in the region of £30m - a mere snip in today's bloated market - the Gunners have to be considering the Algerian wizard as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez, whose own move to Manchester City grows more and more likely with each passing day.

Mahrez's goals were crucial to Leicester's Premier League triumph in 2016, and whilst his form dipped last season as his side struggled to juggle domestic and European duties, his mercurial ability has never been in doubt.

The 26-year-old is already settled in England, and though Arsenal - as a domestic buyer - would likely have to go up on whatever is offered by rival bidders from overseas, Mahrez would be well worth the extra outlay.
