Chelsea Transfers: Ranking Jose Mourinho's Signings From Worst To Best

By Joseph Dempsey /

1. Willian

To cap off his summer splurge, Jose Mourinho made Willian his most expensive signing of the summer by paying Anzhi £30 million late last month. The 25-year-old was in high-demand this summer and came perilously close to joining the Blues' north London rivals Tottenham, even going as far as to have a medical at White Hart Lane. However, the Lilywhite's had their hopes of landing the Brazilian scuppered when Chelsea entered the race, and the lure of Champions League football this season proved to tip the balance in Mourinho's favour. Willian is considered one of Chelsea's "marquee signings" this summer and though he has yet to play a single game for the Londoners, is expected to take the Premier League by storm in the seasons to come.
