While many supporters anticipate Mathieu Debuchy will say 'au revoir' to Newcastle this summer it could in fact be fellow full-back Davide Santon who bids 'arriverderci' to life on Tyneside. Santon has once again been linked with a move back to his native Italy this morning with talkSPORT suggesting that Fiorentina are leading a troupe of Serie A clubs keen to sign the 23-year-old with AC Milan and Roma also said to be keen. However, our £10 million valuation has so far discouraged Viola or any other interested parties from elevating their interest and we don't envisage the club budging on that figure should they receive a derisory offer for the eight-cap Italy international. In truth, although a return to his homeland would be an appetising prospect, we're convinced that Santon would prefer to remain with Newcastle rather than uproot his family having settled down in the region with his Geordie girlfriend and baby daughter since arriving from Inter Milan in the summer of 2011. The second half of last season was one to forget for Santon - once dubbed a phenomenon by Jose Mourinho - as he struggled for form and fitness and we feel a change of position might bring the best out of him in the future.
