Nando was a revelation at Liverpool and deserves his credit for helping make Liverpool a real force during his stay at Anfield. It's fine to be angry at him for leaving and making silly comments in his interviews but the dust has settled now and he is well and truly a flop at Chelsea so we don't need to continue our hissy fits, so long as he doesn't score against us! What Liverpool fan can honestly say they did not love Nando? Not all love affairs work out and most will end, very few are eternal - we all need to accept this to understand modern day football. Nando made a choice that he was not getting any younger and he was at the age where he needed to start winning trophies and that's what he has done with Chelsea. Not many will contest the fact that Torres was the world's best striker whilst at Liverpool - especially during his first season when he notched a stunning 33 goals in all competitions. Although he never came close to equalling his own great achievements from that first season he maintained a very impressive goals to games ratio - you see because of his injuries Torres found it impossible to break that 25 goal barrier again but when he did play he scored, it was just a matter of mending him and getting him on the pitch. He scored 17 in his second season but in only 38 appearances which is almost a goal every two games. Many believe that had Torres managed to stay fit for more of the 2008/09 campaign Liverpool would have won the league - who knows? His third season was also successful with 22 goals in 32 appearances - which is a goal every 1.45 appearances. It is without doubt that Torres lethal striking abilities make him a deserved part of this illustrious list. I hope any Liverpool supporters that read this will agree with me.
