We have certainly learned over recent years how important it is to have good leadership at a football club, and its certainly true to say that relationship between the owner and manager is very important. The best clubs allow the managers to get on with footballing matters without interference; the owners that do interfere are usually the ones that do more harm than good at the club. Werner, and most people would describe them as good American owners. This is a much more favourable set-up than they had previously when George Gillett and Tom Hicks were in charge. The 41-year-old has previously managed Watford, Reading and Swansea as well as learning from Jose Mourinho in his coaching career. Rodgers has been Liverpool manager since 2010 and this season proves that he is clearly progressing them, and he currently has a 52% win rate as manager of the club.
