Liverpool: 5 Reasons The Reds Can Win The Premier League Next Season

1. The Club And Owners Have Learned A More Sensible Transfer Policy

Obviously, some things don€™t always go right straight away, but the important thing is you learn from your previous mistakes. I remember when the current Liverpool owners first came in some of their decisions were a little bit erratic, especially in the transfer market. It was widely reported at the time that the owners were attempting to use a Moneyball approach to their transfer dealings. For those that don€™t know, Moneyball was an idea that changed baseball by looking into different things such as the use of stats and identifying players that were undervalued by the market. However, if anything, the Reds initially spent over the odds on players €“ the prime example being the £35m they invested in Andy Carroll. However, their more recent transfer dealings seem to have been more measured, and as a whole have worked out pretty well. Of course, it€™s important that both the management and owners are in agreement in the transfer policy as it€™s a very important part of running a successful club, but it certainly seems that Liverpool are in very good hands at the moment.
