In the summer, Brendan Rodgers€™ managerial stock couldn€™t really have been much higher if he had tried. The Northern Irishman had just guided Liverpool to within a few games of winning their maiden Premier League title, and he had got the Reds playing some of the most expansive, entertaining football in the club€™s history. He was young, attacking and seemingly destined to be the heir to Bill Shankly at Anfield. Fast forward six months though, and the 41-year-old is now being tipped to lose his job at some point before next summer. Liverpool have endured an appalling start to the 2014/15 campaign, and the sale of Luis Suarez and loss of Daniel Sturridge to injury has hit the team hard. The Merseysiders find themselves in the bottom half of the Premier League, and Sunday€™s 3-0 defeat to bitter rivals Manchester United was another low point in a wretched season to date.
