However, most people would agree that its a season too early to think of them as Premier League champions as its more than likely that at least one of Man City or Chelsea will finish above them. However, qualifying for the Champions League next season will be a massive step forward for the team. Its also likely that being in the elite European competition next season will be enough to keep Suarez at Anfield. There is no doubt that the win wants to win things, and as mentioned the player gives the club a certain level of presence. This is going to be even more the case once Steven Gerrard is less involved with the team. Nevertheless, what this season has proved more than anything else is that we can look at Liverpool as genuine winners of the Premier League. Brendan Rodgers will need to add to his squad this summer, and if he can do that as well as keeping Suarez then the EPL title could be theirs next season.
