Lacazette has emerged as one of the finest young French talents over the past two seasons in Ligue 1. Last season Lyon finished second and the 24-year-old scored 27 league goals. He finished top goalscorer and sat comfortably ahead of Marseille's Andre-Pierre Gignac and Paris Saint-Germain's Zlatan Ibrahimovich. Lacazette sparked attention at the end of the 2013/14 season after scoring 15 league goals yet decided to stay in France despite a number of Premier League offers. If Firmino is going to take up the role that Sterling left behind then Lacazette could play as a central striker (in Sturridge's absence) and provide the goals that Liverpool were missing last season. Now capped at international level the Lyon striker is currently priced at £28 million and could be a fantastic signing for the Reds.
