Liverpool Transfers: 6 Raheem Sterling Replacements

3. Antoine Griezmann - Atletico Madrid

Griezmann has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer after the London club reportedly made a bid of around £35 million for the attacker. Diego Simeone has already signed Porto's Jackson Martinez and Villarreal's Luciano Vietto this summer and with rumours circulating about the clubs finances they may have to cash in on their star midfielder. If Liverpool can place a respectable offer they could pull off one of the signings of the summer as Griezmann would offer them a direct like-for-like for Raheem Sterling. Arguably the Atletico midfielder is more developed than the England midfielder and would seamlessly slot into the Reds' first eleven. With a trio of the 24-year-old, Phillipe Coutinho and Firmino playing behind a central striker, Liverpool would possess some serious firepower that would undoubtedly help them challenge for the top four. Griezmann scored 25 goals in 54 games last season for Atleti and his movement, flair, skill and shooting would give Liverpool a more complete and established midfielder than the one Manchester City have just acquired.
