Luis Suarez: The Good, The Bad And The Ugly

5 Terrible Reasons Suárez Will Be Remembered

5. Biting Otman Bakkal: Jaws

For those of you who aren't particularly familiar with Suárez' early career I will explain to what I am referring to. During a game against PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch League (Eredivisie), Suárez reacted badly to a bit of a "cafuffle" occurring around the referee and ended up biting Otman Bakkal - a PSV midfielder. Luis, biting around the shoulder area, clearly didn't do much damage but it was a clear sign of how ridiculous Suárez could behave on a football pitch. Amazingly, at the end of the game, the two players hugged it out and laughed about it which I find absolutely absurd - but each to their own I guess. Suárez was rightly banned for 7 Eredivisie games and that's when Liverpool picked him up. Now, it's abundantly clear that despite his immense goalscoring feats over in Holland, El Pistolero will probably only be remembered for his very good Jaws impression. It's amazing to think that something this crazy would be repeated again whilst playing for the Reds.
