Man City 4-0 Aston Villa: Player Ratings

Man City

Joe Hart: Had little to do on a night where City dominated possession. Only scare was when Andreas Weimann broke through, but the Austrian€™s effort went tamely wide. 6/10Pablo Zabaleta: A brilliant performance from the Argentine international, who along with Seamus Coleman has been the best right back in the Premier League this year. Assisted the first goal. 8/10Vincent Kompany: Like Hart, the City skipper had little to do on a quiet night for the back four. Remained calm and composed throughout. 6/10Martin Demichelis: His form has greatly improved in recent weeks, following heavy criticism from fans and the media. Like Kompany, Demichelis was calm on the night and didn€™t put a foot wrong. 6/10Aleksandar Kolarov: Not involved as much as Zabaleta, but when he did overlap the left back looked dangerous. Provided a good cross in the first half which almost fell to David Silva. A solid performance. 6/10Javi Garcia: Picked ahead of Brazilian Fernandinho, Garcia produced a decent display against Aston Villa. Hardly noticed during the 90 minutes, which is what you want from your defensive midfielder. 6/10Yaya Toure: Another good performance from Toure, who has weighed in with 20 goals in the league for City this season. His goal encompassed everything great about the Ivorian - pace, power and a tidy finish. 7/10
