Obviously, signing another current England goalkeeper is an option, and it was a tough choice between John Ruddy and Fraser Forster. The reason that Ruddy has got the nod is because he is playing the Premier League so his quality is better known. Obviously, Forster has been superb for Celtic but it would in my mind be a bigger gamble for Man City. Clearly, Ruddy has been linked with a move away from Norwich City in the past, and it will be interesting to see if they were able to fend of interest again. The other issue is on if the Manchester club would be prepared to take on Ruddy as a first choice goalkeeper
