Man City Transfers: Ranking Manuel Pellegrini's Signings From Worst To Best

By Joseph Dempsey /

4. Stevan Jovetic - £22 Million From Fiorentina

A hamstring injury has thus far prevented the former Fiorentina man from making his competitive debut for Manchester City, though he is expected to feature for his new club after the international break. Jovetic was one of City's more expensive of players having arrived for £22 million in July, and had previously been hotly-tipped to join Arsenal, while United were reportedly interested, too. The Montenegrin has come into prominence of late having scored 27 goals in his final two seasons in Serie A, and the reason he isn't higher on this list is because he has yet to really prove himself in England. Jovetic will find it tough cracking City's first team squad, with the likes of Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero and fellow new signing Alvaro Negredo all jostling for places, and it remains to be seen if the 23-year-old makes an immediate impact at Etihad Stadium.
