The Mirror reported earlier today that Manchester United are lining up a deal to bring Portos James Rodriguez to Old Trafford to replace contract-rebel Nani. The paper claims that United are looking at the 20-year-old winger to replace Nani, despite rumours yesterday claiming that the club is interested in Spurs duo Bale and Modric. Negotiations between Nani and the Red Devils have broken down and it seems Sir Alex Ferguson is trying to find a replacement of equal quality. The Mirror claims Nani feels isolated at Old Trafford and is unhappy with the way his relationship with the club has turned out. FC Porto have placed a £25 million price tag on their prized asset, and whilst funds may be lacking at Old Trafford the club has suggested over the years that funds are always available if the manager requires them. It is believed that United scouts have been observing the Columbian for a while and feel he would fit it at United. James Rodriguez scored 12 league goals in 22 appearances for FC Porto last year, a record that suggests he is more consistent that current winger Nani.
