Man Utd Transfer News: Marouane Fellaini's Champions League Plea Alerts Moyes

The Metro, Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has hinted that he wants to follow boss David Moyes to Manchester United this summer. After the appointment of Moyes as the retiring Sir. Alex Ferguson's replacement on Thursday (though is contract doesn't start until July 1st) Fellaini, 25, has suggested he wants to test his abilities against the top European teams in the Champions League. Fellaini said:

"Every player wants to play in the Champions League. That is the big competition, I hope I can do it with Everton. I€™m happy here. I€™ve been at the club for five years. I€™m happy because I know everybody."
Everton are currently sat in 6th place in the Premier League, seven points off a Champions League spot with only two games to play. Everton claim close to Champions League football back in 2005, when they finshed fourth but were knocked out by Villarreal 4-2 on aggregate in the third qualifying round but haven't been able to break the top four since. With claims towards the end of last week that Fellaini and teammate Leighton Baines could be set to join Manchester United for £39 million in the summer, are Everton about to see two of their top players leave Goodison Park along with their manager? Fellaini was purchased from Standard Liege in 2008, by David Moyes, for £15 million. Fellaini has scored 12 goals in all competitions for the blue-side of Merseyside. Manchester United choosing Moyes as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor, looks to have inspired Fellaini who has recently started following former Manchester United players and even the club's Press office twitter account.
