David Moyes CONFIRMED As New Man Utd Manager - Signs 6 Year Deal

BBC. Moyes has the ineviable task of replacing the legendary Sir. Alex Ferguson who announced on Wednesday that he would retire at the end of the current campaign after 27 years in charge. The 71-year old enjoyed an illustrious career at United, winning every major trophy available to a manager of an English club multiple times including 13 Premier League and 2 Champions League titles. In a statement, Fergie said Moyes was the majority choice to succeed him;

"We unanimously agreed on David Moyes," "David is a man of great integrity with a strong work ethic. I've admired his work for a long time and approached him as far back as 1998 to discuss the position of assistant manager here. "There is no question he has all the qualities we expect of a manager at this club."
50 year-old Scot Moyes himself had developed a legacy, albeit a trophy-less one in 11 years at Goodison Park. He joined Everton in 2002 and for the majority of his seasons had them playing above their means and finishing comfortably in the top half. One amazing season also saw them achieve the rather unbelievable feat of finishing fourth and qualifying for the Champions League. Everton had announced in a statement earlier today that Moyes would be leaving Merseyside;
"Everton can confirm that David Moyes will leave the club at the end of the season. "The manager met chairman Bill Kenwright early yesterday evening and confirmed his desire to join Manchester United.
