Goal.com, Manchester United winger Nani is set to stay at Old Trafford despite rumours suggesting he could move to Russian champions Zenit St Petersburg. It had been reported by Goal.com that the Russian club were preparing to make a £25 million bid for the Portuguese winger, although after spending £63.5 million on Porto€™s Hulk and Benfica€™s Axel Witsel on Monday, the deal now looks to be off. Zenit manager Luciano Spalletti had earlier this month spoke of his desires to sign Nani from Old Trafford and the deal was given consideration by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Spaletti said:

"Are we interested in Hulk and Nani? Yes we are. Everything's going to depend on how much they cost.
Nani still has two years left on his contract, but his initial request for a new contract - which The Sun are suggesting included a demand for a 50 per cent increase to more than £130,000 - was rejected after Nani endured a bad end to last season for Nani, according to the same report from the Sun.
