Man Utd Transfers: 4 Players Sir Alex Still Desperately Needs To Replace Tonight

By Simon Gallagher /

1. Javier Hernandez

While Robin Van Persie's association with the club has been nothing short of tremendous so far, since his big money move from Arsenal in the summer, United are still a little light up top. Without him they have Rooney who has been dragged back into an attacking midfield "free" role, and Danny Wellbeck, who has probably played out wide too much to even be classed as a central striker anymore. And then there is Javier Hernandez, who could easily have made a move away from United this window after failing down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and who has seen his first team opportunities limited recently. If the Pea isn't careful he will see himself becoming an Ole Gunnar Solksjaer figure without the important goals, and he'll lose his most important years as a striker. But it isn't just Hernandez who is suffering from his association with the club, because United need someone who will have a big enough impact to genuinely challenge RVP as the first choice, perhaps even enough to play alongside him. What do you think United fans? Should Sir Alex have concentrated on bringing in replacements for these players during this window? Share your thoughts below in the comments.
