The Newcastle goalkeeper has had a fantastic few seasons for his club. After Shay Given's departure, the Holland international stepped up to be Steve Harper's understudy - and hasn't looked back since. With Harper having injury problems, Krul deputised and his performances were that good, Harper never got back in the team. The 24 year old is the first name on the teamsheet at Newcastle and the stopper very rarely makes mistakes, whilst regularly pulling off astounding saves and commanding his area dominantly. He joined Tyneside in 2005 from Dutch outfit ADO Den Haag and enjoyed loan spells at Falkirk and Carlisle, before cementing his place in the first 11. Krul recently signed a new 4 year deal with Newcastle in 2010 and Ferguson would definitely have to consider him.
