Another of Louis van Gaal's former Bayern Munich stars who could be moving to Old Trafford as part of a huge summer of spending is Thomas Muller. Muller played under Gaal at Bayern between 2009-11 and it was van Gaal who gave the midfielder his first break in the side, making the then-19-year-old a permanent fixture in his starting XI. Since then Muller has gone on to shine at the Allianz Arena, winning three Bundesliga titles and the Champions League. However, rumours of discontent have surfaced recently, with the Germany international thought to be unhappy with his role at the club - used predominantly as a substitute by Pep Guardiola. And this has led to reports that the £35 million-rated man could be set to hook up once more with van Gaal and swap Munich for Manchester next season. A consistent scorer and creator of goals, (he netted 26 in 51 total appearances last season) Muller would instantly give United more of a cutting edge in attack next season, and would link up well with Robben at the Theatre of Dreams. Value: £35 million
