Man Utd Transfers: 9 Sub-Par Players Who Need To Be Sold

By Josh Challies /

Manchester United are used to flying high at the top of the table, winning games and trophies left, right and centre. Under Sir. Alex Ferguson they were a force to be reckoned with week in and week out and you would usually find them outside of the top two or three for only the first few weeks of a season. However, this year under the tenure of David Moyes the wheels have firmly fallen off the United wagon. The manager has taken a lot of criticism this term but the problem isn't necessarily all his fault. In fact, he's had a better start statistically than some great Manchester United legends- including Ferguson and Matt Busby. Moyes has inherited a squad that is far from capable of mounting a proper title challenge when Robin Van Persie isn't fit. In fact, many of the players he has would struggle with a Champions League push without Van Persie and Wayne Rooney, which has been shown all too often in this campaign. If things are to improve at Old Trafford then Moyes needs to utilise the transfer window and make some huge adjustments. He missed out on big players in the Summer but he can still attract top stars. Though to make room for these players he needs to show some that he already has the door. The players included in this list are here for a variety of reasons, so here me out. I'm not necessarily questioning the ability of some of the names (though in some cases I am doing just that) but there's ten players here who Moyes would be better off without and replacing, preferably in January.
