Newcastle Midfielder Told He Can Leave - With FIVE Clubs Queuing Up For His Signature
Vuckic is surplus to requirements at St James' Park.
HITC Sport claim that Vuckic has a whole host of options, however - with Rangers competing with Championship sides Hull City, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley and Bristol City for the attacking-midfielder's signature. Vuckic was farmed out on loan to Scottish Championship side Rangers in February after interim head coach John Carver made it clear the attacking-midfielder did not fit into his plans. In 18 appearances for Rangers, Vuckic contributed nine goals but was unable to help the club win promotion back to the Scottish Premier League after they lost the two-legged play-off final to Motherwell. Yet the Slovenian pleaded with McClaren via an interview last month to allow him to start his Newcastle career "from scratch", although it appears he will not be given the opportunity to do so. Speaking to Slovenian outlet Nogomania, Vuckic said:
Newcastle United attacking-midfielder Haris Vuckic has been told he has no future at St James' Park - and there are five clubs queuing up to take the Slovenian international away from Tyneside. The 22-year-old stated earlier this month that he wanted to be given one last opportunity to impress at St James' Park, but Steve McClaren has told Vuckic he does not feature in the Magpies' plans going forward. "Absolutely (I want to be given a chance to impress at Newcastle) I just lacked the confidence and continuity (before). "I hope the new coach (McClaren) gives me a chance. I have not even talked to him, but I read that he is starting from scratch. "If I get a chance at Newcastle, great, otherwise I will move on. If you do not play, you get forgotten quickly. "But, I am not a confrontational man, so Im certainly not looking for conflict with the coach."Capped once by his country, Vuckic has made 19 senior appearances for Newcastle to date and he has been loaned to Cardiff City, Rotherham United and Rangers during his time on Tyneside.
