4. Centre Back - Steven Taylor (Swansea Rating - 4)
Daryl Janmaat's dismissal could come as a blessing for Steven Taylor should he put in a good performance against Manchester United. The centre back positions are still up for grabs and the English defender will be looking to regain a place in the Magpies' starting eleven. The dilemma for McClaren will be whether to maintain the partnership of Chancel Mbemba and Fabriccio Coloccini and play Vurnon Anita as right full-back therefore leaving Taylor out of the line up.
5. Centre Back - Fabricio Coloccini (Swansea Rating - 4)
Huge game for the skipper after another dismal display last weekend. Fabricio Coloccini forgot to jump as 5ft 9 Andre Ayew towered above him and nodded home Swansea's second goal of the evening. The Argentine appeared to be still finding his full fitness and looked sluggish on the ball. More worryingly, his leadership and organisational skills are distant (although very fond) memories and he simply isn't the player he once was. Coloccini will have another big test this Saturday when he is faced against Wayne Rooney who isn't shy of scoring against the Magpies.
