Alan Pardew probably never envisaged that it would come to this but there is serious pace gathering behind a mass protest led by a Newcastle supporters group to walk out of St James' Park when the clock strikes the 69th minute during Saturday's clash with Cardiff. Board members of the Newcastle United Supporters Trust (NUST) are asking disgruntled fans to vacate their seats and miss the final 21 minutes of the Magpies' final home match of the season to illustrate their disillusionment with Pardew's continuing presence as manager after the club slumped to a sixth straight Premier League defeat at Arsenal on Monday. And the organisers hope the symbolic meaning of the number 69 will drive more fans towards the exits, saying in a statement: It is 1969 when Newcastle United last won trophy and we are asking all fans to consider joining us by walking out of St James Park when the clock hits 69 minutes on Saturday, and miss the last 21 minutes of our final home match of the season against Cardiff City," Of course, how many of the 52,000 fans present tomorrow will consider it a productive boycott in their efforts to oust Pardew is unclear at this moment. Some may prefer to remain seated and continue to provide support for the players as they look to avoid a 7th straight loss to the relegation-haunted Bluebirds. Some may look at past protests and consider it a futile attempt to get Mike Ashley to heed their cries of "Pardew Out". Nevertheless, what do you make of the plan and will you still be seated in the 69th minute tomorrow?
