Norwich City: 5 Potential Replacements For Chris Hughton

By James Kent /

1. Malky MacKay (Unemployed)

Malky MacKay is the favourite for the job, and that probably shouldn€™t come as a massive surprise. Current odds on him being Norwich€™s next manager are current seen at 8/11, but I€™m not so sure that it€™s a done deal. Linking the Scottish manager to Carrow Road might be more of a case of simply putting two and two together. After all, as a player the Scot spent six years at Carrow Road between 1998 and 2004. Many fans would have expected him to have ended up as manager of the club at some point after he gained experience. However, those comments were probably made when the club were in the Championship; it remains to be seen if he would be the right choice at the present time. One concern is that he seems to be quite a defensive manager, and that€™s certainly something that has been said about Hughton. I would certainly agree that if a change is going to be made it should be because something different is being offered by an alternative options. However, if Norwich are looking for someone to be in place between now and the end of the season initially, then it could be worth a go.
