Norwich City Transfers: 5 Central Defenders To Partner Sebastien Bassong

4. Curtis Davies (Hull City)

Chris Hughton knows Hull City€™s Curtis Davies from the time that both men worked together at Birmingham City, so it wouldn€™t be a massive surprise if a late bid for the player was made. I think it€™s fair to say that the player was an unknown quantity to some extent when playing Championship football. However, he has excelled with Hull in the Premier League to suggest that he is more than capable of making an impact at this level. One of things that is unusual about Hull this season is how well they have performed as a defensive unit, despite being a newly promoted club; the 29 goals that they conceded from 23 games is testimony to that. It€™s also fair to say that Davies himself has been a leading light in that defence with his performances this season. Stats this season include 2.1 tackles, 2.6 interceptions and 8 clearances per match; he has also provided one goal and an average rating of 7.34. The 28-year-old would certainly bring plenty of experience to Norwich, but Hughton will be painfully aware that only a small amount of it has come at EPL level.
